What is OEM and ODM process?

Product Development Process

1. Ascertain Specifications

The first step in the process is to determine the exact specifications required for the product. This could include dimensions, materials, features, and any other relevant information.

2. Determine OEM/ODM Model

Once the specifications are determined, the manufacturer will assess if they have an existing OEM/ODM basic model that can be used. If not, they will proceed with designing a new product from scratch.

3. Optical Design

If the product requires optical components, such as a camera or lens, the manufacturer will design and submit optical performance values for approval.

4. Verify Optical Performance Approval

Once the optical design is complete, the manufacturer will verify the optical performance approval with the client.

5. Mechanism Design

After the optical design is approved, the manufacturer will move on to designing the exterior of the product. They will submit exterior drawings for approval by the client.

6. Verify Exterior Drawings Approval

Once the exterior drawings are approved, the manufacturer will verify the exterior drawings approval with the client.

7. Calculate Estimate and Prepare Sample

With the specifications and designs approved, the manufacturer will calculate an estimate for the project, including the cost of materials, labor, and any other necessary expenses. They will then prepare a sample estimate to present to the client.

8. Fabricate Sample

If the client approves the estimate, the manufacturer will proceed to fabricate a sample of the product for the client to review.

9. Shift to Quantity Production

Once the sample is approved, the manufacturer will shift to quantity production, manufacturing the agreed-upon number of products for the client.

Military Binoculars Operation

HakwStrike 7X50 Military-Grade Binoculars: Built for Toughness and Precision

Designed and used for Ground Force operations, these binoculars offer reliable performance in all weather conditions. The internal rangefinder enables you to calculate target distances quickly and accurately. The built-in directional compass helps you orientate your position when navigating unfamiliar terrain.

Durability and Performance

The body of these binoculars is built to withstand tough conditions, surviving accidental drops, vehicle run-overs, and even bullet impacts. Nitrogen has been injected into the body, making it waterproof and ensuring clear vision in harsh environments. The BAK4 lenses inside are Fully Multiple Coated, providing extreme clarity in optical performance.

Military-Grade Testing

To meet military requirements, these binoculars undergo rigorous testing. Each pair is tested under high and low temperatures, undergoes a dropping test, and is subjected to a waterproof test to ensure durability and performance.

How Do Rangefinder Reticles Work?

Rangefinder reticles in binoculars and scopes use various systems to calculate distance. One common method involves comparing a scale or measuring marks on the reticle against a known-sized portion of the object you're viewing. This method, known as the Mil-Dot reticle, is widely used in military and hunting applications.

Example:

Imagine you're sailing on a yacht and using your reticle rangefinder binoculars to view a lighthouse that you know to be 60 meters tall.

Military Binocular Reticle application

By using the Mil-dot formula, which involves some simple math, you can calculate the distance to the lighthouse. This formula allows you to determine the distance or size of an object based on known information.
